Cranswick is delighted to be able to offer this Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship. The apprenticeships lasts 15 months, will consist of 4 modules and will be delivered remotely.
Ideally, you will be 18 or over due to working within a factory environment.
Job responsibilities of an IT Apprentice (Non-exhaustive list)
· Support the IT helpdesk to resolve and advise on user queries relating to desk user PCs and business applications including critical factory systems.
· Assist the IT team in the implementation and delivery of key projects and processes.
· Assist with software upgrades and rollouts.
· Resolve network cabling/switch issues alongside Engineering.
· Plan and carry out maintenance of IT systems, applying updates as required whilst ensuring that downtime is minimized.
· Install/Replace PC’s, Laptops and Tablets as directed.
What you will need:
· Strong communication skills.
· The ability to problem solve.
· Confident, enthusiastic and a people person.
· 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
· GCSESs in Maths and English at grade 3+ (D or above)
· Must not hold an existing Level 3 qualification in IT or similar.
Pay and benefits:
· Salary - £20800.00 per annum
· Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification on completion of the apprenticeship.
· Pension – 3% employer contributions/5% employee contributions.
