Data Protection and Information Governance Apprenticeships - Damar Training

As part of this role you will be able to serve as the primary contact for the Information Governance Team, offering advice on Information Governance queries.
- Collaborate with the Information Governance and Data Access and Disclosure Teams, communicating professionally in various formats
- Organise and coordinate IG events, workshops, and training
- Handle inquiries, requests, and complaints with tact, confidentiality, and discretion
- Maintain high confidentiality when dealing with personal data
- Prioritise tasks daily, following departmental guidelines, and manage sensitive information while meeting deadlines
- Support the delivery of group training and assist with processing data subject rights requests
- Investigate inappropriate access to information and report findings to senior staff
- Support Information Governance manager in handling information governance incidents, risk assessments, and policy reviews
- Stay updated on Trust policies and ensure compliance with legislation
- Suggest improvements to Information Governance services, support breach investigations, and manage risks
- Manage relevant equipment, maintain a register of external data flows, and produce reports and documentation
- Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments and provide administrative support
- Perform other duties as needed and maintain up to date training

Funding Eligibility Requirements
Lived in the UK for 3 years+
Non-UK nationals who have been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands for at least the previous 3 years on the first day of learning and:
- have permission granted by the UK government to live in the UK and such permission is not for educational purposes only, or
- have obtained pre-settled or settled status under EUSS
Mathematics and English qualification with a Grade 4 or above.
A level or L3 apprenticeship equivalent qualification alternatively any relevant experience.
