Shortis Group is a family owned and family run retail sales / trade distribution and fitting bay centres for the motor industry. The company has been trading for over 50 years and has unrivalled experience in automotive parts supply and fitting centres. The Group operate across the UK with a turnover of over £40m.

As a whole the group employs over 600 enthusiastic staff, owns over 180 vehicles and trades from over 75 sites, the majority of which are freehold.

Part of this group is Wilco Motosave who have 26 sites across Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire. We have a vacancy become available and we are looking for new enthusiastic employees to come and join our team. Our aim is to grow young apprentices into our future managers.

Apprentice Mechanic

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Assist with inspections and testing of vehicle systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a hands-on environment.
