We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and looking to develop their skills in a supportive nursery environment. As an Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced practitioners to provide high-quality care and education to children, fostering their development and well-being.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
Support the daily care routines of children, ensuring their safety, hygiene, and comfort.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's emotional needs.
Manage small groups of children during activities, encouraging participation and positive behaviour.
Observe and record children's progress, contributing to assessments and reports as required.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery environment, ensuring it is welcoming and stimulating for all children.
Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a clean, organised, and safe nursery space.

Qualifications

A keen interest in early childhood education and childcare.
Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage small groups effectively.
A willingness to learn and develop professionally within the field of childcare.
A valid driving licence would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
