Job Overview
Our apprenticeship scheme offers candidates the opportunity to learn and grow alongside some of the most respected professionals working in the industry today. We offer structured apprenticeships and are committed to the training and development of all employees.
You will work alongside our Electrical Maintenance team, learning what it takes to keep the manufacturing plant running safely and efficiently.
Over the four years, time is spent within various areas of the plant, working on a diverse range of equipment, gaining the experience and skills required to become a fully qualified member of the team.
What will I learn?
Our highly successful apprenticeship program has been running for nearly 50 years, with over half of our current Maintenance/Engineering teams having served their apprenticeships here in Cowie.
Following a successful apprenticeship, we offer fantastic opportunities to progress within the company, with ex Cowie apprentices currently holding Manager, Supervisor and various Specialist Technician level roles.

What Qualification or Qualities are required?
We are looking for motivated individuals, with the ability to work as a team player, with an enthusiastic approach to learning.
In addition, all apprentices are required to complete the HNC course for the chosen discipline and therefore require a minimum of National 5 including in English, Maths and a Science or technical subject, or equivalent. Applicants who do not meet these criteria, but have relevant experience or alternative qualifications, will be considered.
You will have the ability to prioritize workload and work under own initiative.
You will possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
