An electrical apprentice installs, upgrades, renovates and completes other assigned electrical duties to produce the product requested by an owner or general contractor and under direction from a licensed Journeyman.
Essential Functions
- Installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Measure, cut and bend conduit.
- Trace out short circuits in wiring.
- Make minor electrical repairs.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Work with the Foreman to set daily goals.
- Performs work in accordance with the National Electrical Code in a workmanlike manner.

Minimum Qualifications
- Hold and maintain the state apprentice license.
- Have an OSHA-10 hour Construction Certification before beginning work on a site or the pre-fabrication workshop.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Attend continuing education classes to maintain apprentice license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in/completion of an electrical trade school program.
- Knowledge of hand/power tools, how to read meters and blueprints.
