We are looking to recruit a bicycle mechanic/ shop assistant.
Ideally you’ll either be currently working (or looking to return to), in the cycle industry either as a mechanic or in a sales capacity. We will consider all applications if the applicant can demonstrate a good level of bike maintenance skills, is affable and presentable.
The role requires you to be positive and professional as you’ll be in the public eye. You will be self-motivated and able to work on you own initiative.
For the right person this could lead into a supervisory position working with an apprentice and running the shop on a day to day basis in the absence of a manager. So somebody who can juggle several things at once, doesn’t get put off by a bit of occasional pressure, is self-motivated to carry out tasks without being asked to do so.
We are a specialist secondhand bike shop so a knowledge of all sort of bicycle would be a plus but again not essential.
