Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of all fire & security systems.
- Support the maintenance and servicing of low voltage electrical systems and fire alarm equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Learn to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for system design and troubleshooting.
- Conduct field service activities such as cabling, testing sensors, and configuring remote access software for system integration.
- Help diagnose issues related to computer networking, telecommunication links, and IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) to maintain system integrity.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely during installation or repair tasks under supervision.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an interest in electrical components and system design.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking principles, and telecommunication systems.
- Experience or familiarity with service technician roles or field service work is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Good manual dexterity with hand tools, power tools, and cabling techniques.
- Enthusiasm for developing expertise in fire alarm systems, alarm system sales processes, and low voltage electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards.
