Role Overview
We are looking to grow our field-based team with an apprentice who has a willingness to learn and wishes to chart a path towards a career in HVAC. The successful candidate will assist with delivering planned, reactive, and remedial maintenance activities, and / or installation work on a wide range of equipment. This role will be mobile and will be based predominantly in Northern Ireland, with occasional travel across the UK and Ireland as required. It is a requirement of the role to be able to make your way to and from the office or a mutually agreed pick up point each day.
What you'll do
The following reflects the main tasks associated with your role and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
- To assist with planned, reactive, and remedial maintenance activities, and / or installation work.
- To assist with fault finding across all types of systems.
- To ensure all works are delivered to an acceptable quality standard, safely, on time and to budget.
- To update company management information systems and maintain accurate records for all works.
- To attend training courses such as Health and Safety, PASMA, IPAF and Manufacturer Training.
- To take part in mentoring and training including attendance at college on a day release basis.
- To be available for overtime and working away from home from time to time.
- To always represent the company in a competent and professional manner.
- Any other duties within the skillset of the individual.
What you'll bring
As an Apprentice your main skills and experience should include:
- Minimum GCSE Grade C in English, Maths and a Science / Craft subject.
- Have a genuine interest in HVAC and a willingness to learn.
- Experience of the mechanical and electrical industry would be an advantage but not essential.
- Be driven with excellent self-organisation and time management skills.
- Have an awareness of customer service.
