Are you looking to kick‑start your engineering career in a high‑precision, hands‑on environment? We’re looking for motivated early‑career engineers to join our team as EDM or Grinding Machinists, supporting the manufacture of complex, high‑accuracy components for the aerospace and advanced engineering sectors.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has recently completed an Engineering BTEC, A‑Level, T‑Level, or Apprenticeship and is ready to take the next step into a skilled machining role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating and setting EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) or Cylindrical/Surface Grinding machines
- Working to tight tolerances and engineering drawings
- Supporting the manufacture of precision components used in safety‑critical applications
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance and ensuring safe working practices
- Measuring and inspecting components using micrometers, verniers, and other metrology tools
- Working alongside experienced machinists and engineers to develop your skills
- Maintaining accurate records and following quality procedures (AS9100 environment)
What We’re Looking For
- A recent qualification in engineering (BTEC, A‑Level, T‑Level, or Apprenticeship)
- Strong interest in machining, manufacturing, or precision engineering
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings (training provided if needed)
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
- A proactive attitude and commitment to producing high‑quality work
- Comfortable working in a workshop environment
