Job Description Claims Pathway
Location: Norwich
Hours: Full time, permanent with two year development programme
Work type: Hybrid
Salary: £26,700
The opportunity Serving over 25 million customers is what drives us at Aviva, and our Claims team is at the heart of it. In motor claims, you'll be the trusted support customers turn to when they need help most, keeping things clear and simple.
You'll answer questions, solve problems and provide a reassuring voice, whether it's for individuals or businesses - from market stalls to major companies. If you thrive on building relationships and have empathy in spades, this is where you can make a real difference.
Whatever your role and whatever your background, you'll get the training you need to shine bright as well as opportunities to develop long-term in your career. We're continuously moving forward as a business, and we'll make sure you do too.
And if you need support with your online application or you need to apply another way, we've got you covered there, too. Just reach out to
[email protected] "In my role, I take calls from customers every day, helping them progress their motor claims and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. It's really rewarding to know I'm helping people during what can be a stressful time, and my team is amazing - so supportive and great to work with." - Current Apprentice
The role Our Claims Apprentice roles are based in Norwich: a buzzing place in which to launch your career. After your training and induction period, you'll probably balance time in the office with working from home. We call this Smart Working.
Three days in the office and two days from home every week is typical, but this will vary between teams. When you join us, your leader will take time to discuss this with you, and agree what works best for you, your team, and the business.
Our Claims team plays a crucial part in helping customers when they need us most, making a real difference every day.
As a
Claims Apprentice, you'll be the first point of contact when a customer makes a claim. You'll gather key details about what happened and the condition of their vehicle, then use this information to make decisions on liability and arrange bookings with suppliers to get our customers back on track quickly.
You'll show genuine empathy, work proactively to make the process as stress-free as possible, and juggle multiple tasks with confidence. Using our digital systems, you'll make quick, accurate decisions and provide a calm, reassuring voice throughout every claim.
While you work, you'll study for the
Level 3 Insurance Practitioner qualification. The apprenticeship typically takes about fifteen to eighteen months to complete and is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to advance your career in insurance. You'll learn about the industry, including the tricky but necessary world of regulation, as well as key areas such as underwriting and claims. You'll also learn about the industry and all our popular insurance products, including motor, household, healthcare, and commercial insurances. 80% of your time will be spent getting hands-on experience in your day-to-day role, and 20% of your time will be dedicated to your apprenticeship studies.
Better yet, you'll be part of a supportive team that's committed to your growth. We believe in nurturing talent and giving you the right tools to succeed. Your colleagues will mentor you at every step, so you'll be ready for any opportunity that comes your way.
And that's not all. You'll also benefit from our two-year central development programme, giving you everything you need to be an all-round professional.
About Us The Company We're the UK's leading diversified insurer and in our 325+ years in business, there are two important things we've learned: never rest on your laurels and always look for ways to innovate and improve. We're investing in a future we all want to live in, centred on our customers and the planet.
Join Aviva and you can expect to work within a diverse team and be encouraged to find your spark, your way. You'll be supported with friendly colleagues, flexible working and the tools and training to help you thrive.
