Job Purpose
The Trainee Mechanic will support the workshop team in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of vehicles while developing technical skills through hands-on experience and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanics with vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
- Carry out basic mechanical tasks such as oil changes, brake checks, tyre fitting, and inspections
- Learn to use workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery safely and correctly
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report faults or issues to senior staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times
- Keep basic service records and job documentation accurate and up to date
- Participate in training, apprenticeships, or qualifications as required

Requirements
- Basic knowledge of cars and mechanical systems (college course or prior experience preferred but not essential)
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
