We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Butcher to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and eager to build a career in the butchery industry. As a Trainee Butcher, you will receive hands-on training in meat preparation, food safety, and knife skills, working alongside experienced professionals. No prior experience is required just a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn how to cut, trim, and prepare various meats including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry under the guidance of experienced butchers.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in the butchery area.
- Help store meat products correctly and monitor proper temperature controls to ensure freshness.
- Observe and assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and reporting shortages.
- Receive training on different meat cuts, knife handling techniques, and equipment care.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, including tools and machinery used in meat preparation.
