Job Summaries
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in industrial and commercial electrical work, with hands-on exposure to PLC systems and control panels. As a non-union company, we value versatility—this apprentice will also cross-train in Welding and Mechanical departments to support a wide range of industrial projects. This position involves approximately 75% travel and requires a strong work ethic, adaptability, and eagerness to learn multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Support PLC wiring, basic programming, and control panel setup.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Perform routine testing and inspections under supervision.
- Learn and assist in Welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and Stick processes.
- Support Mechanical maintenance and installation of industrial machinery.
- Participate in rigging, fabrication, and basic millwright duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company protocols.
- Communicate effectively with Foremen, Project Managers, and team members.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools.
- Willingness to learn PLC systems and industrial controls.
- Interest in welding and mechanical trades.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided if not held).
- Valid driver’s license required.
