MailBakes Ltd is seeking a motivated and reliable Packaging Apprentice to join its growing food production business based in Liverpool (L13 4BF).
- This full-time role offers the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in packaging, warehouse and dispatch operations while completing a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will be responsible for accurately packaging cake orders to company quality and presentation standards, preparing, labelling and organising customer orders for daily dispatch, and picking and packing products in line with order requirements.
- Additional duties include carrying out stock checks, supporting the replenishment of packaging materials and finished goods, maintaining clean, safe and well-organised working areas, and following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- The role involves working closely with a small team to meet daily production deadlines, using basic warehouse systems or paperwork to track orders and stock,and actively taking part in live social media content, including appearing on camera to support product promotion and customer engagement.
Training will be delivered by Total Training Provision and will take place either at the apprentice’s workplace at MailBakes Ltd or remotely through online learning and virtual sessions with a dedicated Skills Coach. At least 20% of the apprentice’s working hours will be spent in training or study. The apprenticeship will last 12 months and includes regular reviews, assessments and development activities to support successful completion. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, progression opportunities will be discussed.
