- No formal carpentry experience is required, but a strong work ethic, humility, and willingness to be coached are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Carpenter and crew with daily jobsite tasks
- Keep the jobsite clean, organized, safe, and prepared
- Assist with demolition, material handling, setup, staging, and basic carpentry work
- Learn and use hand tools, power tools, and safe jobsite procedures
- Pick up and deliver materials, maintain the shop and vehicles, and help keep the workflow efficient
- Use JobTread (project software) for logging time and tasks (we'll train you)
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with the team and clients
- Actively participate in learning carpentry skills and construction processes
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and respect for clients, teammates, and property
- Comfort with physical, outdoor work (lifting, carrying, weather conditions, ladders, etc.)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (Candidates must live within commuting distance of Ashland, NH.)
- Ownership of basic hand tools or willingness to acquire them (we can help with this)
- No tobacco, vaping, drugs, or alcohol use during work or on any jobsite
- If you have some carpentry experience, great. If not, we'll train you.
- This is a paid, entry-level apprenticeship, not a volunteer or unpaid program.
Compensation & Benefits
- Job Type: Full-time, On-site. W-2 Employee.
- Pay: $18 to $26/hr, depending on experience and tools
- 6 Paid Holidays + 2 Floating Holidays

- OSHA-10 & EPA Lead-Safe certifications paid for by the company
- Registered Carpenter Apprenticeship at NHTI available (with potential scholarship support)
- Tool purchase advances + regular tool allowance
- Growth path to Journeyman Carpenter, and beyond to Lead Carpenter and Project Manager
