Summary
The position of Apprentice Service Technician is ideal for someone who has no previous experience in the servicing of cylinders or dive equipment. It may suit a recent school leaver or someone enrolled in a local college.
We propose to train the candidate in the testing, servicing, and filling of cylinders initially. The candidate will be trained by our Senior Service Technician and will perform the tasks under his supervision until competent and capable of working independently.
Once the apprentice is trained in cylinder servicing, there is the potential for further training in the servicing of other dive equipment.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting, testing, servicing, and filling gas cylinders (initially under supervision of our Senior Service Technician)
- Filling out job sheets and maintaining work records
- Helping with loading and unloading cylinders as needed
- Helping our Senior Service Technician and other staff with other tasks as needed
Requirements
- Able to commit to 35 hour working week (this can be over 4 days for someone enrolled in college)
- Reliability and punctuality
- Able to work independently once appropriately trained
- Good communication skills with customers and other staff
- Full UK Driving License preferred
