We have a rare opportunity to join our close knit team!

We are seeking a fantastic and friendly dental nurse for our busy independent dental practice in Welwyn Garden City.

We will consider qualified dental nurses to join our team, as well as applicants willing to train on the job as a dental nurse/apprentice dental nurse.

Trainee dental nurses would join as an apprentice, and must be willing to study to complete their level 3 NVQ qualification in order to be considered for this post, the qualification takes approximately 2 years to complete. Trainees must have GCSE equivalent grade Cs in English and Maths to join this program.

We would first train our new team member in core decontamination duties and clean instrument set up, as well as reception skills for use of the dental software, prior progressing an in house apprenticeship for a Level 3 NVQ in dental nursing. The apprenticeship is run with an external company that arrange remote learning and tutor assessments, which take place along side the on the job training. The practice offers an experienced nurse mentor in the practice, as well as a supportive and encouraging team. We have been running this training program for more than 10 years with several successful candidates completing the course and progressing their careers.

Our qualified dental nurses support package includes GDC fee, full indemnity insurance and all continuing professional development courses as well as opportunities for further training and career development.

The candidate must be dedicated and hardworking, flexible team player and be able to work minimum 3 full weekdays which may start at 7.45am or finish at 6.15pm, and pne Saturday mornings a month.

Salary will be dependent on experience.

We are flexible on start date and could consider an immediate start date or a start in January 2026.
