JR QA Analyst

Brief Description:

The QA Test Analyst will be assisting in all testing activities related to the build and support of deposit solutions delivering business value to our stakeholders.

Detailed Description:

This role is an entry level position requiring the individual to be driven, well-organized, and curious. They must be self-motivated and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The team will look to this individual to have the aptitude to learn and participate in manual data and system integration testing, functional testing, and regression testing on all efforts while supporting the build out of the team’s test automation capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in the analysis and review of epics, features, and user stories.
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo/Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Analyze and translate requirements to create and execute test cases.
• Create and maintain test cases and test data using industry and Huntington standards.
• Assist in identifying test scenarios based on the understanding of systems, interfaces, system audits.
• Maintain test cases and test data using standard testing tools.
• Participate in identifying all testing needs and the development well defined test plans.
• Write, review, and maintain test scripts.
• Participate in and facilitate defect management meetings.
• Perform all aspects of verification/testing (integration, functional, regression etc.).
• Manage defect tracking and provide informative updates as requested.
• Participate in production validation and support as needed.
• Comply with Huntington’s standards of the SDLC and adhere to testing strategies & procedures.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in a testing or development role with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships, or work experience in lieu of participation in the Elevate Program.

Skills:

• Interest in Quality Assurance testing
• Foundational Java coding experience
• Exposure to building and consuming REST APIs
• Exposure to data structures such as JSON

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with mainframe development is a plus.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and implementing TDD or ATDD is a plus.
• Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus.
