Apprentice Electrician

£28,652 - £28,864 / £14.85 - £14.96 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
Applications are invited for the above post with Marine Services.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious enthusiastic individual who has a willingness to learn and the ability to work within a team and with your own initiative. You will also have a genuine interest in shore based electrical engineering.
This four-year apprenticeship will include full sponsorship for the SVQ level 3, NC in engineering maintenance (electrical) practice at Inverness College, pending allocation of a place on this course.
You should have gained passes in Maths, English and a Science subject at level 3 or above. Further Technical or Information Technology studies would be of benefit along with an understanding of the principles of Electrical Engineering.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
