Job Title: Apprentice Carpenter

Job Summary:

Position: Full-time | In Person

We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Carpenter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin a career in carpentry and gain hands-on experience in the residential remodeling industry. The Apprentice Carpenter will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters and learn various carpentry skills through on-the-job training.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A strong interest in carpentry and construction.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
•  Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Basic math skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction or related fields.
•  Enrollment in or completion of a pre-apprenticeship program or vocational training.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

Physical Requirements:

•  Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50 lbs or more).
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

Learning and Assisting:

• Assist journeyman and lead carpenters with various tasks, including framing, finish carpentry, trim work, demolition, and site preparation.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow instructions and ask questions to gain a thorough understanding of carpentry techniques.

Site Preparation and Cleanup:

•   Prepare job sites for construction activities, including setting up tools and materials, and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site throughout the project.
• Clean up job sites after work is completed.

Material Handling and Organization:

• Load and unload construction materials.
• Organize and store materials properly.
• Transport materials to and from job sites as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.

Tool and Equipment Maintenance:

•  Assist in maintaining and cleaning tools and equipment.
• Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools to supervisors.
