Finance Apprentice – Salford Quays
Marlowe Fire & Security is the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Finance Apprentice located at our Head Office in Salford Quays.

Marlowe Fire & Security’s Finance Apprentice
This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring finance professional to gain hands-on experience in a busy and dynamic finance department, whilst achieving a recognised qualification. This is a fully-funded apprenticeship.
The role will evolve over the training period, and will encompass:
A grounding in the basics of transactional accountancy within the purchase ledger department – it is envisaged that this initial period will be six to nine months, depending on progress
You will then progress onto bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations, and banking processes
Following this initial period, the successful candidate will then progress to working fully in the management accounts department, assisting with processing, analysis, and reporting, supervised by more experienced team members
This will all be supported by the AAT2 course qualification, which will be provided under the apprenticeship scheme, with 20% off-the-job training on a recognised course
There will be the opportunity to gain experience of all aspects of finance, including payroll, audits, financial controls and group accounting;
Business partnering skills and leadership qualities will be developed throughout the training period
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will eventually progress to a full ACCA qualification
The position is office-based with the option for some home-working where appropriate for business needs
