Salary: £20,000 per year

- Monday to Thursday: 8.30am - 5pm
- Friday: 8.30am - 2pm

About the Role:
As a Finance Apprentice at ABP Birmingham, you'll be working as part of the Finance team to assist with queries and helping to deliver key information that is delivered timely. With ongoing support from Day 1, the team will be offering guidance and support with completing your Level 3 Assistant Account apprenticeship which will be underpinned with opportunities to apply your learning to your role - Giving you the key knowledge, as well as helping to develop the skills required to perform to the best.
Throughout your programme, you'll work towards completing a variety of tasks and taking ownership for a number of areas including:
- Bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Journal entry.
- Maintain prepayments and accrual schedules.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Raising Inter-Company invoices.
- Processing of expense claims.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks.
All of this may sound a little daunting but full training and support will be provided.

The Ideal Candidate - Skills/Experiences:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs, with a Grade B/5 or above in Maths, as well as a relevant A Level, T Level, or BTEC equivalent is desirable.
- No formal experience is required as full training will be given. However, we are looking for an individual who is keen to learn, can manage their time well, and is looking to continually develop their skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction.
- Focus on attention to detail and maintaining high standards.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, to a competent level.
