Software Developer Intern / Tech Lead (Internship)

About 4th Space

4th Space is a next-generation community app that brings people together through local hobby clubs—bridging the gap between digital convenience and real-world connection. Designed to foster genuine social engagement, the app makes it easy to discover, join, and interact with nearby clubs based on your interests.

We’re at the very early stage—designing and testing our MVP— which includes an AI search, detailed club pages, joining capabilities and member reviews. We’re looking for a talented and ambitious student or recent graduate to join us as our first technical teammate.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work directly with the founders to build, iterate, and test the MVP
• Help shape the technical architecture of the platform (no legacy tech—clean slate!)
• Build and connect features like:
  • Review and engagement features
  • Custom registration forms
  • Join functionality
  • Payment functionality
  • AI-based tools (e.g. search function)
• Work in a framework you're comfortable with
• Set up a lightweight backend (Firebase, Supabase, or similar)
• Be part of a product that’s already getting early traction

You’ll have the freedom to contribute ideas, explore creative solutions, and even help shape the product roadmap.

Who We’re Looking For

• A student, graduate (Compsci and Engineering background preferred) or self-taught dev looking for startup experience
• Confident working across the full stack (or eager to learn fast)
• Curious, independent, and hungry to build something meaningful
• Interested in tech-for-good or community-based tools
• Open to wearing multiple hats (developer, problem-solver, collaborator)
