Overview
Working as part of a small team the role is to support all Customs administration activities within the Swain Group to enable the servicing of internal and external customers.
You will undertake the International Freight Forwarding Specialist level 3 apprenticeship.
Job Purpose:
- Accurately process customer invoices from clearances, including creating invoices and checking payments has been received.
- Liaise with hauliers to address any logistical issues and maintain smooth operations.
- Perform detailed bookkeeping tasks using customs software to maintain accurate records.
- Oversee credit control, ensuring timely collection of payments and minimising overdue accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for phone and email inquiries, providing prompt and professional customer service.
- Prepare and send quotations to customers based on their specific requirements.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Work with other departments to ensure seamless workflows.
- Contribute to various office tasks as required, demonstrating a flexible and proactive attitude in a small-team environment.
