Description

Coastal Mechanical, one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast, is currently seeking Plumbing Helpers to work in our Tampa Florida location. These helpers could be eligible for our in-house, free apprentice program. Apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction in which the workers learn the aspects of a trade, while they earn a living. This is a Safety Sensitive position.

Requirements

• 1-2 years school or hospital plumbing or construction experience preferred for helper position but will train the right candidate.
• Follow safety procedures
• May be eligible for our Free apprenticeship program training for those with:
• A good work ethic and positive attitude
• Team player with an eagerness to learn
• An incentive to gain a fulfilling career
• Background checks, motor vehicle checks, and drug screening performed (Medical marijuana is a drug)
  
  

Essential Functions

• Climbing up and down ladders
• Push, pull and frequently carry objects as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. –
• Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. – Stand and walk for long periods of time. –
• See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others.
• Overtime and weekend availability, regular attendance
• Work in heat and various other weather conditions
• Travel to current job sites within Florida

$18.00 - $24.00 depending upon experience
