Optimum Skills are proud to be working closely with a multitude of Painters and Decorators, who are looking to recruit reliable Apprentices from the Newcastle area, who have completed the pre-requisite work preparation training through Optimum Skills. Joining a company that provides building services you will be learning all of the required skills to become a bricklayer. You will also be learning other related useful skills to help you become successful in this trade.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with surface preparation including sanding, cleaning, and priming surfaces.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and metal surfaces.
- Assist with wallpaper hanging and other decorative finishes.
- Use and maintain painting tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work alongside senior painters and decorators to learn industry techniques and best practices.
- Assist with managing and maintaining supplies and materials on job sites.
- Ensure all work meets company and client standards for quality and finish.
- Communicate effectively with the team and clients, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.

Pay: From £6.40 per hour
