We are seeking a motivated and committed candidate to start their career in construction as an Apprentice Formworker. This is an opportunity to earn while you learn on a paid apprenticeship with the additional support of the Shared Apprenticeships team.

Formworkers contribute to the construction of projects through the preparation, installation and quality management of all stages of the formwork and falsework process. Preparing falsework that provides temporary support structures for forms and undertake formwork. This includes producing panels and fittings that mould to form a desired shape with concrete, such as slabs, support beams, columns and walls. They are involved in the entire envelope of the construction industry: including all the major over ground and underground projects across the UK

The employer

Our apprentices work on placement with host contractors in their local area whilst employed by Shared Apprenticeships.

Our apprentices have support of an Apprenticeship Manager who is committed to seeing each apprentice through to completion and onward progression to full-time employment in the industry and/or a higher apprenticeship.

The study

The training for this apprenticeship, Formworker Level 2 is expected to be delivered by a local college or independent training provider. The apprenticeship will typically take 18 months to complete.

Salary: As a minimum, this job is paid at the published National Minimum Wage rates.
