PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of our expansion, this is a hybrid apprenticeship/internship opportunity for unqualified or qualified individuals (up to personal trainer level 3 ONLY), including those qualified in similar disciplines. You will need to undergo our specialist training to be able to work with our patients/clients. Your initial placement is part of this training, where we invest half towards your full training. You will then work this back during your initial placement at £12.21 per hour to start (performance pay is also included).

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our specialist team. Due to our expansion, we are in need of specialist trainers to compliment our existing, highly specialised team. Due to the nature of our work, candidates need to undergo our accredited, specialist training as part of their placement. Upon completion of the placement and training, dependent upon performance, the temporary placement becomes permanent, where you will be working with our patients and clients.

Duties

Conduct one-on-one training sessions with clients to assess their fitness levels and establish personalised training plans.
Upon specialisation, work with patients, both at our facility or in-home where required.
Work with sports clubs and similar organisations to improve athletic/sports specific performance.
Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques and safety protocols to ensure client safety during workouts.
Monitor client progress and adjust training programmes as necessary to meet evolving fitness goals.
Offer nutrition advice and lifestyle coaching to support clients in achieving overall wellness.
Maintain a clean and organised training environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional.
Foster positive relationships with clients, motivating them to stay committed to their fitness journeys.
Stay updated on the latest fitness trends, techniques, and research to provide the best service possible.

Skills

If unqualified, a proven passion and/or experience in a similar discipline or within the fitness sector
At least one year training self within a gym environment
Proven experience in sports coaching or personal training is desirable, although not essential as we are seeking both unqualified and qualified individuals (if qualified as a personal trainer, you should only be qualified to level 2 or 3 with no specialist qualifications).
Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients of all fitness levels.
Desirable: In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and exercise physiology to ensure safe and effective training practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others achieve their health goals.
Strong organisational skills, self motivated and an independent learner with strong initiative within the work environment.
