Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system design and mechanical knowledge, with experience in construction and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As a Fire Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems within various projects. You will work with a small team, so being a team player is essential.

Duties

Design and develop fire protection systems in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing fire protection measures and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of fire safety systems.
Utilise hand tools and power tools for installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection equipment.
Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
Perform inspections and testing of fire protection systems to verify functionality and compliance.

Requirements

Proven experience in system design, particularly within the fire protection industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with electrical systems is advantageous for integration purposes.
Background in construction is preferred, with an understanding of building regulations related to fire safety.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
