Job Purpose:

Epwin Group is one of the UK’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of PVC windows, doors and fascia systems with some of the best-known manufacturing and service names in the sector. Group businesses also produce high quality cladding, guttering, decking and prefabricated GRP building components.

You will be highly trained to work in the world of manufacturing; This position will be best suited to applicants with good practical skills and an interest in engineering-based projects. As a trained Toolmaker, you will be responsible for maintaining tooling (Dies and calibrators).

Key Accountabilities:

Produce components using hand fitting techniques

Preparing and using lathes for turning operations

Co-ordinate with suppliers to supply spare parts for machines

Preparing and using milling machines and using Grinding machines

Carry out the maintenance of Tooling

Ability to read and manufacture from design drawings given

Producing tool and die assemblies

Maintain and record work and tool breakdown history

Preparing and proving CNC machine tool programs
