The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer of 2026. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects that directly impact our core product offerings. You will gain hands-on experience with the full software development life-cycle in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Location: Varied; Southampton, Hampshire and Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, with remote working at some customer sites across the UK.

Duration: Summer 2026 (Approximately 10-12 weeks, specific start/end dates negotiable)

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, and testing of new features for our core machine vision platforms.
Assist in optimising existing codebases for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
Work with computer vision pipelines, machine learning model deployment, or embedded systems software (depending on team assignment and candidate skills).
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and daily stand-up meetings.
Document technical specifications and processes.
Debug and resolve software defects.

Qualifications Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Expected graduation date in 2026 or 2027.
Due to the nature of the role, possession of a driving license and access to a vehicle is preferable
